COVID-19 RAPID ANTIGEN TEST
The COVID-19 rapid antigen test detects protein fragments specific to the Coronavirus. This test requires a nasal swab. Results may come back in as soon as 20 minutes. Used to detect an active infection.
COVID-19 RAPID IGM/IGG ANTIBODY TEST
This test detects two different types of antibodies (IgM and IgG) that may develop in most patients after exposure to SARS-CoV-2. This test requires a blood sample via finger prick. At this time, it’s unknown how much protection antibodies might provide against reinfection. Used to detect a recent or past infection.
COVID-19 PCR TEST
We offer COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test. This test detects RNA (or genetic material) that is specific to the SARS-CoV-2 virus and can detect the virus within days of infection, even those who have no symptoms. The PCR test is administered by an oral swab, which is used to detect an active infection.

COVID-19 RAPID TESTING INFORMATION
We utilizing rapid antigen tests and rapid IgM/IgG tests. Antigen tests look for signs that a person has protein segments or antigens for SARS-CoV-2. This is an indicator of active disease. The IgM/IgG test identifies whether a person has developed antibodies for SARS-CoV-2 and can do so as soon as 48 hours after exposure. For the Antigen test, we use RT Care Start for Rapid Detection of SARS-CoV-2. For the IgM/IgG test, we use Premier Biotech IgM/IgG Rapid Test Device.
The testing methods are based on supply. We will accommodate test preference as long as we have the supplies at the locations selected. All tests have received an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the FDA to diagnose COVID-19 infections.
Antigen tests are less sensitive (accurate) than a PCR test, but you will have results much quicker. The COVID-19 Antigen test can detect active infection. The IgM/IgG test can detect recent infection as well and is most accurate for people who were exposed at least 48 hours prior to being tested.
HOW DOES THE TEST WORK?
When you arrive at your selected location for your booked appointment time, please park in one of the designated spots and stay in your vehicle. The test will only take a few minutes.
One of our staff members will either conduct a nasal swab (antigen test), a blood sample via finger prick (IgM/IgG test), or a PCR oral cheek swab to collect the sample for testing. You will receive a notification approximately 20 minutes later when your results are available, if you are administered a IgM/IgG test or Antigen test. You will have the results from your PCR test within 24 hours.
COVID-19 ADMINISTRATIVE COST
We charge a $39 admin fee to sustain same-day appointments and results. We have tripled our capacity for daily appointments to keep up with the demand for the communities in which we are serving. To do so, we have had to exponentially increase our staffing. The admin fee is not a co-pay. It’s a manual process to send results to patients, report the results to the state and submit the tests to insurance providers. Please call us with any further questions.

FAQ’S
When is the best time to get tested after being exposed to COVID-19?
The average incubation period is thought to be between two and 14 days. CDC experts suggest getting tested three to seven days after exposure. If you get tested too early after exposure, it can be possible that you have a false-negative test.
Is there an age restriction for this testing?
Yes. Patients must be at least one year old. If you have concerns, please contact your primary care physician.
What if my results are negative?
If your test results are negative, you can return to your normal daily routine if you do not have symptoms. Keep in mind you should remain at home if you are still sick. While you may have tested negative for COVID-19, it is possible you have another illness that could spread to others. Manage your symptoms at home and contact your primary care provider (PCP) if you have any questions or concerns.
What if my results are positive?
If your test results are positive, you should quarantine yourself and contact your primary care physician.
Is this test FDA approved?
This test is not yet approved or cleared by the United States FDA, but it has been given an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).
Is this a blood test or a swab test?
It depends on the rapid testing method (subject to supplies). The antigen test requires a nasal swab, the IgM/IgG test requires a small blood sample via finger prick.
